My long night of work had a nice ending.
I usually don’t work Sunday nights but my brother and I swapped days so I could’ve DJ’ed the wedding last night. Anywho Sundays at the restaurant is the big music night. We have music every weekend fri-sun but the Sunday night band is the one that never changes. It’s the same group of guys that has been playing jazz and old rock and roll tunes for 11 years now. I’ve grown up watching them, and I never thought much of them until recently now that I’ve picked up a guitar and musical interest. I’ve been talking with a few of them every other weekend but tonight I was talking with Paul Biondi after we closed and they were collecting their money (check out his amazing bio on the link, he’s played with some amazing people in his time.). I talked to him a bit about playing here for so long, and I mentioned I’ve been playing guitar for a while now, and then I started talking with their lead singer/guitarist Michael Anderson. I showed him a video of mine and let him know as much as I know. And he may be able to give me some lessons every now and then. And also if I learn a classic rock song I can play with them one night. That would be pretty sweet to play with the guys my dad hired many years ago to start a famous weekend tradition here in town.
